(CT) - In April, Vietnam's postal and telecommunications sector continued to develop; its network coverage was widespread, modernized, and transformed from traditional to digital services, especially with the rapid development of mobile telecommunications.

According to a report by the Ministry of Science and Technology , in April, nationwide postal revenue reached 7,900 billion VND, and the volume of postal items reached 480 million.

Vietnam currently has 110.5 million mobile broadband internet subscribers. The percentage of households using fiber optic cable reached 85.8%; the IPv6 usage rate reached 65%; the total number of national ".vn" domain names reached 690,436, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has completed the development of the 5G network deployment plan by 2030; and continues to address areas with weak signal coverage and strengthen the management of unregistered and fraudulent SIM cards.
