Tourism revenue in Can Tho increased by nearly 25% compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year to the end of October 2025, Can Tho city attracted a large number of visitors and accommodation, thereby total tourism revenue was higher than the same period last year.

In the first 10 months of 2025, Can Tho city attracted over 9,985,000 visitors, reaching nearly 91% of the plan and increasing by nearly 26% compared to the same period last year. Over 4,461,500 tourists stayed overnight , reaching nearly 91% of the plan and increasing by nearly 34% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue in the past 10 months reached nearly 8,671 billion VND, reaching nearly 87% of the plan and increasing by nearly 25% compared to the same period last year.

Following the merger, Can Tho 's tourism development space has expanded.

Following the merger, Can Tho now has over 100 tourist areas, attractions, and gardens; and more than 860 accommodation establishments with over 14,500 rooms. The tourism development space has expanded, no longer confined to individual localities, giving tourists more choices.

Currently, visitors to Can Tho can easily experience a series of itineraries starting from Ninh Kieu Wharf and Cai Rang Floating Market (Can Tho) to ecological gardens (formerly Hau Giang province), and then continue to explore spiritual and marine ecological tourism in Vinh Chau, Cu Lao Dung, and Tran De (formerly Soc Trang province ). This helps Can Tho extend the length of stay and allow tourists to enjoy its cuisine, thereby contributing to increased tourism revenue.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, following the success of the recent Oc Om Boc Festival - Ngo Boat Race, from now until the end of the year, Can Tho's tourism industry will organize many more major events, including the Can Tho River Culture Festival 2025, which promises to attract a large number of tourists.
