In the business category, the organizers awarded the first prize to the project "Developing a sustainable agricultural model combining automation in crab farming, applying circulatory systems, robotic arms, AI and IoT" with a total prize value of 74 million VND. In addition, there were 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes awarded to other units.
A representative of Seamorny Vietnam Co., Ltd. (the project owner of the first prize) said that the high-tech crab farming project applies a circulating water treatment system, robots, AI and IoT to optimize productivity and meet export standards.
Accordingly, the difference of the project is the ability to automate the process, from detecting molting crabs with AI, feeding crabs with robots to notifying harvests and managing the farm via phone applications. In addition, the model also helps increase the survival rate of crabs to 90-95% (compared to the traditional 10-60%).
"This solution helps the crab farming industry increase productivity 10 times, creating quality crabs with traceable origins. Currently, the model has been replicated in many provinces and cities such as Ca Mau , Dong Nai... and transferred to many units in need," he said.
According to records, this year's projects focus on the trend of applying high technology in agriculture: artificial intelligence (AI) for quality management and production forecasting; Internet of Things (IoT) for farm automation; biotechnology - microbiology, circular agriculture...
The organizers said that not only stopping at the prize value, the winning projects will also participate in the consulting and advanced training program, and receive support in completing legal documents and commercializing products. The projects also have the opportunity to connect directly with domestic and international businesses and investment funds.
In particular, the projects will be considered to participate in the innovation project support program according to Resolution 20/2023/NQ-HDND dated November 11, 2023 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council with a support amount of up to 400 million VND/project.
