The 16th World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships - 2025 took place in Batam City (Indonesia) from November 14 to 17, gathering hundreds of athletes from many countries and territories around the world. The Vietnamese team with a strong force of 23 athletes was present in Batam City with the determination to win the highest rankings.

Pham Van Mach won the world championship title for the 7th time

Competing in the men's 55kg category, An Giang -born athlete Pham Van Mach overcame many strong opponents to become the world champion for the 7th time in his career (2001, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2017, 2023, 2025). He also has 7 Asian championship titles and many SEA Games gold medals and Southeast Asian championship gold medals.

This achievement is a great encouragement for Pham Van Mach as he pursues his passion for bodybuilding and is one of the best faces in the world in the 55 kg category despite being 49 years old.

Besides bodybuilding, Pham Van Mach regularly participates in singing, acting, participating in game shows and opening a gym, attracting many showbiz figures to join in training.

"At this moment, Mach really doesn't know how to describe his feelings about winning the world championship for the 7th time. The athletes in the same 55 kg weight class are all equal and very strong, so the competition was really fierce. Being named in the highest position, Mach is really happy because he has completed the task assigned by the coaching board.

This achievement is certainly a memorable milestone, partly because Mach cannot participate in the 2024 tournament despite having won the championship a year earlier. Mach has prepared very carefully, nearly 5 months for this world tournament. Mach is happy to contribute to the overall achievement of the whole team and wishes the Vietnamese players the best results in this tournament."
