The ideal time to visit

The best time to explore Nam Cuong sand dunes is during the dry season, from December to August of the following year. The weather is dry, sunny and convenient for traveling and taking photos. You should come here early in the morning (5:30 - 7:00) or late in the afternoon (4:00 - 6:00) to avoid the harsh sunlight and enjoy the cool air and the most beautiful light.

Moving instructions

From Phan Rang city center, it only takes you about 20-25 minutes to travel to Nam Cuong sand hill. There are two main options:

  • Motorbike: The ideal choice is to follow the coastal National Defense route to combine sightseeing.
  • Taxi: Costs about 150,000 - 200,000 VND/trip. It is recommended to take National Highway 1A or Thong Nhat Street for more convenience.

Ticket prices and service charges

Nam Cuong Sand Dunes offers free entrance. Visitors only pay for the following entertainment services:

  • Jeep Rental: About 600,000 VND for a 30-40 minute tour.
  • Sandboard rental: About 50,000 VND/board, unlimited time.

Note: The above prices are for reference only and are subject to change.

Some important notes

  • Clothing: Choose light, flowing clothes with bright colors like white, red, yellow for beautiful photos.
  • Footwear: Go barefoot or wear flip-flops as the sand is very hot and can easily get into your shoes.
  • Protect your skin: Always apply sunscreen, wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.
  • Drinking water: Bring enough water because this area is quite dry and hot and there are few shops.
  • Safety: If you are walking, stick to the trails to avoid getting exhausted. If you want to explore further, rent a Jeep.
