Not difficult, but still… all in

With what was shown in the opening match and the draw against U23 Cambodia, it is clear that U23 Laos is not a match for coach Kim Sang Sik and his team.

Although the young team from the Land of a Million Elephants has made progress, their physical strength is quite weak and their tactical thinking is relatively unstable, leading to an early lead but allowing U23 Cambodia to equalize.

On the other hand, U23 Vietnam clearly has a series of talented players who are on the Vietnamese national team, or have a lot of battle experience... they can completely create an overwhelming game, even using the second team.

Although the opponent is quite easy, coach Kim Sang Sik will still give U23 Laos a certain respect, as well as put on the field the strongest lineup to review the playing style and operation in order to quickly make adjustments for the more difficult road ahead.

Along with the review, the Korean captain will also prioritize testing when the results are reassuring enough.

Who will be chosen?

In the goalkeeper position of U23 Vietnam, the chosen one will almost certainly be Trung Kien as he has more combat experience than Nguyen Tan or Cao Van Binh.

In the 3-4-3 formation, the central defenders most likely chosen by coach Kim Sang Sik are Nhat Minh, Ly Duc and Van Ha because of their experience compared to other names like Duc Anh and Hieu Minh.

In the central midfield position, Thai Son and Viktor Le are the best choices as they have just had quite successful seasons playing for their clubs in the V-League.

The two players chosen for the winger position are Minh Phuc (right) and Khuat Van Khang (left). The strikers most likely to be chosen are Dinh Bac, Ngoc My and Phi Hoang.

Expected lineup of U23 Vietnam against U23 Laos: Trung Kien, Nhat Minh, Ly Duc, Van Ha, Minh Phuc, Thai Son, Viktor Le, Khuat Van Khang, Dinh Bac, Ngoc My, Phi Hoang
