Thoroughly grasping the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee proactively and resolutely implement tasks and solutions for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development, considering this as a driving force for the province to improve its competitiveness and economic growth.

Not stopping there, the province promotes propaganda work to raise public awareness of the role and importance of science , technology, innovation, digital transformation in people's lives, and sustainable socio-economic development. The province cares about, accompanies, and supports the start-up and innovation business community, promotes the application of science and technology in production and business activities, helps small and medium enterprises access appropriate technology solutions, and improves competitiveness. Every year, the province maintains technical innovation and innovation start-up competitions to arouse creative potential in all classes of people.
The province organizes training conferences for students, youth, start-up groups and businesses, focusing on sustainable development orientation and technology application, especially the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in management and production. Since Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo was strongly implemented, the spirit of innovation in departments, branches, units and businesses has been strongly promoted. Through the "Digital Education for All" movement, the province hopes to popularize digital knowledge and skills for all classes of people, with the motto "no one is left behind", creating a premise to help people innovate and apply technology in all activities of life, production and business.
Innovation is measured by the volume of inventions and products applied in practice. The innovation process promotes effective new ideas from aspirations and talents to help create new products and services to serve life and society, improving people's lives. Up to now, innovation activities have become a widespread development movement, actively responded to by departments, branches, units, localities, businesses and people. From farmers improving agricultural machinery, to students being creative in their studies, the innovation movement encourages the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate throughout society, connecting creativity and innovation with sustainable development.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoang, resident of My Thuan commune, said: “With the encouragement and promotion from the local government, I understand that innovation starts with small, practical improvements in daily life. I constantly learn, dare to experiment, continuously improve rice growing techniques, apply science and technology to production to create economic value, adapt to the 4.0 technology era.”
From the synchronously implemented policies and guidelines, the province has gradually formed and developed an innovation ecosystem, where businesses can improve products to suit the market, people can innovate in their actual conditions, the state plays a role in creating an environment, institutions, and driving forces to promote innovation development and spread. According to Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Le Quoc Cuong, An Giang promotes the innovation emulation movement associated with intellectual property protection to improve competitiveness, contributing to promoting sustainable economic development. As a province with strengths in agriculture, tourism, and trade, up to now, the whole province has 2 geographical indications, 6 certification marks, and 111 collective marks for specialty, key, and potential products.
Looking ahead, with widespread digital infrastructure, constantly improving community digital skills and clear political determination, An Giang has a solid foundation to realize the goal of becoming a province in the top 20 localities nationwide in terms of digital competitiveness (DTI) and digital government development index, local innovation index (PII), actively contributing to the national goal of science, technology and innovation development.
