Specifically, the prize money is increased by 1.5 times for category O1 (for participants aged 9-15, themed "A Thousand Years of Culture") and 2 times for category O2 (for participants aged 16-22, themed "Aspiration for Technology"). Participating teams are completely exempt from accommodation costs (1 night for a maximum of 4 people/team), receive jerseys, souvenirs, free breakfast, and attend the Gala Dinner.
Regarding the competition format, each team will use only one autonomous robot and reduce the number of tasks on the competition board. In the O2 category, the robot is required to integrate an AI camera to identify, classify packages, and transport them to simulated large technology factories such as Foxconn, Samsung, Amkor, Hana Micron Vina, etc.
To give contestants nationwide (aged 9 to 22) more time to prepare and perfect their robots, the Organizing Committee has extended online registration until June 25, 2026 (instead of May 20, 2026 as per the previous regulations) at the official website www.roboconbn.vn, with information to be updated no later than July 5, 2026. The competition is expected to take place over two days in August 2026.
With the theme "Bac Ninh Convergence," the first ever Bac Ninh Open Robocon Tournament 2026 - Foxconn Cup is expected to become a large-scale STEM and technology playground, promoting the research and innovation of robots, fostering high-quality digital human resources; and contributing to promoting the image of Bac Ninh as a pioneer in innovation and STEM education .
