The athletes on this list include: Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Phuong (main attacker); Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh (opposite setter); Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Pham Thi Hien (middle attacker); Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa (setter); Nguyen Khanh Dang, Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Luu Thi Ly Ly (libero).
Although 15 athletes were registered, according to tournament regulations, each team can only use a maximum of 14 players on the field in each match. Bringing a large force helps the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team have more options and adjust tactics depending on the opponent.
The Vietnamese women's team, which is not the strongest, finished fourth overall at the Shanghai Future Stars 2025 International Volleyball Tournament, held in Shanghai (China) after losing to the Netherlands U21 in the semi-finals and China U21 in the third-place match.
After the tournament in Shanghai, the players will return home to join the main team training in Tam Dao ( Phu Tho ) to prepare for SEA V.League 2025.
Accordingly, stage 1 of SEA V.League 2025 will be held in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from August 1 to 3.
The teams will then travel to Vietnam to participate in the second stage of the tournament taking place at Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium from August 9 to 11.
At SEA V.League 2025, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia will compete in a round robin, ranking by stage.
In last year's tournament, the Vietnamese girls won silver medals in both stages, behind the number 1 team in Southeast Asia - Thailand.
