The match against Schott Mainz was an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's team to test out their positions when Thuy Nga, My Anh... were in the starting lineup. Notably, center-back Chuong Thi Kieu returned to play after 9 months of injury treatment. Despite being at a disadvantage in terms of physique, the Vietnamese women's team took the initiative to control the ball and launch attacks with skillful techniques.

In the 10th minute, from a combination on the left wing, Huynh Nhu passed the ball to My Anh. Immediately, My Anh dribbled at speed to pass the ball to Hai Yen who shot from a distance to open the score for the Vietnamese women's team. In the following minutes, opportunities continued to appear for the Vietnamese women's team but unfortunately no more goals were scored in the first half.

In the second half, the Vietnamese women's team continued to make 8 substitutions but still maintained an impressive attacking style. In the final minutes of the match, the Vietnamese women's team scored another goal from Thuy Hang. From a through ball from Van Su, Thuy Hang ran down and finished, sealing the score at 2-0. This was the second victory for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team in Germany, after the first match, when they defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1.

The Vietnamese women's team is training in Europe to prepare for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals. According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will train and play friendly matches in Germany and Poland from June 5 to 21.
