The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Football Federation in collaboration with Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited.
2026 marks the 15th consecutive year that Thai Son Bac has partnered with the tournament as the main sponsor. This enduring commitment further demonstrates the company's long-term commitment and practical contributions to the development of women's football in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, affirmed that Thai Son Bac is not only a sponsor but also a partner accompanying Vietnamese women's football on its journey towards professionalism and sustainable development.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, the consistent support over the past 15 years has contributed to improving the quality of the tournament, creating motivation for clubs to invest more systematically and opening up more development opportunities for female players.
Representing the sponsor, Mr. Tran Anh Minh - General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd., said that the National Women's Football Championship is not only an important professional competition but also plays a foundational role in training and discovering talent for the national teams.
Many players who rose to prominence from the tournament have become key figures, contributing to the success of Vietnamese women's football in the region and on the continent.
The 2026 National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup features 7 teams: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Thai Nguyen T&T, Than KSVN, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, and Ho Chi Minh City II. The teams will play a round-robin format with two home and away matches to determine the final standings.
According to the plan, the first leg of the tournament will take place from June 20th to July 19th, 2026, and the second leg from July 23rd to August 21st, 2026. The winning team will receive a trophy, gold medals, and a prize of 500 million VND, and will also have the right to represent Vietnamese women's football at the AFC Women's Club Championship in the 2027/28 season.
The draw also determined the pairings for the opening round on June 20th: Thai Nguyen T&T vs. Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I vs. Ho Chi Minh City II, and Hanoi I vs. Hanoi II.
The fact that the champion team has the opportunity to participate in the Asian Club Championship not only enhances the professional value of the tournament but also creates further motivation for teams to invest more heavily, aiming to bring Vietnamese women's football closer to the top level in the continent.
