With a total budget of 59.46 billion VND, the program has created positive changes in both quality and quantity.

A breakthrough has been achieved in the application of advanced machinery and equipment, with 97 establishments receiving support for technology transfer and the application of modern machinery in production.

The total funding provided amounted to over 20.1 billion VND, attracting matching funds from businesses totaling 32.1 billion VND.

This investment has helped the facilities increase productivity, reduce labor costs, and significantly improve their competitiveness in the market.

The selection process for outstanding rural industrial products has been implemented systematically. To date, the province has 160 products that have achieved provincial-level recognition, 55 products at the regional level, and 34 products at the national level.

These figures demonstrate the strong development of the brand and quality of gift products and specialties from the Land of Pink Lotus.

The Co Tuyet fresh sausage business (Cai Lay ward) has been in operation since the 1970s and officially became a legal entity in April 2011.

This brand has skillfully preserved the distinctive traditional flavors of the Cai Lay region while continuously innovating to meet modern market standards.

With the support of industrial promotion policies, the facility has centralized its production process, prioritizing food safety through strict control from the selection of raw materials with clear origins to the packaging of finished products.

Mr. Pham Hoang Nam, the owner of the facility, said: “Thanks to proactive innovation, Co Tuyet Sausage has achieved proud results, being recognized as a typical rural industrial product, receiving a 3-star OCOP certification, affirming its position as a distinctive local product. The facility has also completed all necessary food safety certifications and quality declarations at the Department of Health .”

This is a prime example demonstrating that when rural industrial enterprises leverage their traditional advantages combined with support from industrial promotion programs, they can confidently "take off" and join larger value chains.

In the process of shifting the economic structure towards modernization, the participation of units like HK Trading Co., Ltd. (My Phong Ward) has contributed to realizing the goal of bringing agricultural support industries to an international level.

With the philosophy of "Quality - Safety - Efficiency," the company is not just a simple fertilizer manufacturing business, but also a crucial link in the province's organic agricultural ecosystem.

The company's strong point is its bold investment in modern technology.

With an investment of up to $20 million in a factory system meeting German, Japanese, and Singaporean standards, HK Company has proven that only synchronized technological innovation can create high value-added products that are competitive in the global market.

According to Mr. Chau Minh Hai, Director of HK Trading Co., Ltd., the company consistently adheres to its production orientation of micronutrient and organic fertilizers based on three core pillars: quality, safety, and effectiveness.

Through this initiative, HK hopes to contribute to building a sustainable agricultural sector and enhancing the position of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.

Building upon its foundation in organic production, HK has successfully developed the brands "VD20 Go Cong Rice" and "Uncle Keo Rice".

Thanks to its rigorous quality control process, VD20 Go Cong rice not only meets OCOP 4-star standards but also affirms its position with the title of Outstanding National Rural Industrial Product in 2025.

This is clear evidence of combining local resources with a deep processing mindset to integrate into the global value chain.

The industrial promotion program also focuses on developing high-quality human resources, having organized training courses and professional development programs for 166 industrial promotion officers.

In addition, study tours to other provinces have helped business owners broaden their thinking and access green production models and circular economy practices.

TOWARDS GREEN INDUSTRY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

According to the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Vo Phuong Thuy, despite achieving many successes, industrial promotion activities in the past period still have limitations such as: the scale of rural industrial establishments is still small and fragmented, lacking matching capital for synchronized technological innovation; the level of technological innovation is still low, mainly stopping at the raw processing stage; the industrial promotion staff at the commune level is still small, causing difficulties in closely monitoring and supporting establishments.

In this new phase, the Department of Industry and Trade focuses on five key objectives: Contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; activating all resources to develop industry and handicrafts in conjunction with building new rural areas and shifting the economic structure towards modernization; promoting public-private partnerships, supporting value chains, and fostering digital transformation.

Simultaneously, focus on shifting from resource- and labor-intensive industries to high-tech, high-value-added industries; prioritize cleaner production, moving towards green industries, developing a circular economy, and reducing carbon emissions associated with environmental protection; support rural industrial enterprises in accessing policies to improve productivity, quality, and leverage the advantages of local specialty products.

According to Ms. Vo Phuong Thuy, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, to achieve the above objectives, the Department of Industry and Trade has set specific goals such as: Building technical demonstration models, supporting the application of modern machinery and advanced production lines in industrial and handicraft production; piloting cleaner production; supporting the design of wastewater and exhaust gas treatment systems and green energy conversion (prioritizing the processing and mechanical industries); applying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to join the global value chain.

The province organizes the selection of outstanding rural industrial products; participates in trade fairs and exhibitions at all levels; supports trademark registration, e-commerce application and digital transformation in marketing; forms production-consumption-logistics clusters for the agricultural, forestry, fisheries, textile and handicraft industries; organizes skilled worker competitions, design competitions and passes on skills from artisans to preserve traditional values.

The sector also provides training on management, business startup, digital economy, and professional skills for industrial promotion officers and production facility owners; promotes the dissemination of policies and laws on industrial promotion; and raises awareness about green production, emission reduction, and sustainable consumption through various practical methods.

With valuable lessons learned from the previous period and a clear roadmap for 2026, industrial promotion activities in Dong Thap province promise to continue to be an important driving force, contributing to the construction of new rural areas and sustainable local economic development.
