Phuoc Dinh Border Guard Station fined 2 cases of illegal sand mining

Phuoc Dinh Border Guard Station (Khanh Hoa Border Guard) has just issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhanh (residing in Tay Nha Trang ward) and Mr. Le Duong Hoa (residing in Ninh Phuoc commune) VND52 million for illegal mineral (sand) exploitation, and confiscated the excavator.

Violations

Previously, at 2:00 a.m. on October 16, during a patrol to protect the area, the working group of the Professional Department - Khanh Hoa Border Guard in coordination with Phuoc Dinh Border Guard Station discovered 3 vehicles operating in the vacant land area of ​​Tu Thien village, Phuoc Dinh commune, exploiting and transporting sand, including: Truck with license plate 85A-119.54, truck with license plate 79H-104.80 and Hyundai crawler excavator (bucket capacity 0.25m³).

Through inspection, the authorities determined that the two trucks contained a total of about 8m³ of sand. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhanh and Mr. Le Duong Hoa were both unable to present mineral exploitation licenses or legal registration papers for the vehicles involved. The working group made a record, took the people, vehicles and evidence to Phuoc Dinh Border Guard Station for further investigation and verification.
