At the conference, many opinions and discussions were presented, revolving around the conference's main topics: "Experience and solutions to improve the quality of supervision activities in handling voters' opinions and recommendations according to regulations" and "Solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection activities serving People's Council sessions".

Speaking at the conference, comrade Truong Van Tung - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, emphasized: Since the beginning of the 2021 - 2026 term, the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Councils of communes and towns have directed and closely coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district in supervising the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations; verification activities serving the People's Council session according to the provisions of the Law on Organization of Local Government, the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
The quality of supervision of the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations and the effectiveness of the examination activities serving the People's Council sessions have been increasingly improved, clearly pointing out appropriate and inappropriate points, proposing and recommending specific contents for the district People's Council delegates to study, discuss and decide at the session.

However, in the process of supervising the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations and the verification activities serving the People's Council session, there are still some difficulties and limitations such as: Some opinions and recommendations have complicated and prolonged content that have not been completely resolved; there is still a phenomenon of voters making recommendations on the same content many times, in many places, with many different forms.
The direction, inspection and supervision of the government in resolving and responding to voters' opinions and recommendations are sometimes not timely and not resolute; the results of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations are not thorough, the content is still general, the time and roadmap for resolution are unclear, there are still many opinions that people must continue to make recommendations in subsequent meetings with voters or citizens.
