Welcoming the remains of 05 martyrs from Prey Veng province (Cambodia)

After nearly a month of searching and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia, in the dry season of 2025 - 2026, Team K91, Dong Thap Provincial Military Command searched and collected 5 sets of martyrs' remains in Prey Veng province.

During the survey and search process, with the help of the government and information provided by local people, Team K91 surveyed and excavated an area of ​​nearly 2,000 square meters. The team found the martyrs in 5 sets of remains at a depth of about 0.8 - 1.2 meters. The remains were found with bones and many relics such as: buttons, hammocks, pants fabric...

Based on the collected relics and information from witnesses, Team K91 determined that these were the remains of 5 Vietnamese martyrs who died in the period 1972 - 1973, whose identities have not been determined. Team K91 took samples to send for DNA testing to determine the identities of the martyrs and completed the initial procedures according to regulations.
