On November 1, Ms. Le Thuy Chi - Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City said that the work to overcome the consequences of the historic flood was carried out urgently and safely by the unit with the support of local police forces.
During the floods from October 26 until now, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City and other memorial sites of President Ho Chi Minh have been seriously affected.
Six out of seven memorial sites managed by the museum were severely flooded. Among them, three special national monuments, including: Uncle Ho Memorial House in Duong No village, Uncle Ho Memorial House on Mai Thuc Loan street were flooded from 1m to 1.2m deep; Duong No village communal house was flooded more than 1.5m deep.
The entire garden and guard house of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City (7 Le Loi, Thuan Hoa Ward) was flooded with about 0.6m of water.

According to Ms. Le Thuy Chi, thanks to closely monitoring the weather situation, the museum has proactively moved artifacts to a safe place, and placed large artifacts high up to prevent flooding.
At the same time, assign officials and workers to be on duty at relic sites and museum exhibition houses to proactively respond and ensure the safety of documents and artifacts.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City has reopened to welcome visitors. The two relic sites, Uncle Ho's Memorial House in Duong No Village and the Memorial House on Mai Thuc Loan Street, have finished clearing mud and cleaning the environment, but are expected to reopen from November 4 due to the need to wait for the completion of the display of the relocated artifacts.
Although damage to property and exhibits was limited, wooden and bamboo relics submerged in floodwater for long periods of time are at risk of affecting their lifespan.
