Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van and the working delegation inspected the current water level of the Red River at the old Yen Lenh Ferry Terminal in Minh Khai Ward; inspected the current water level at the 3-door sluice gate in Lam Son Ward; and inspected the flooding situation in the agricultural production area of Hung Cuong Commune.
At the inspection points, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized: With the amount of water flowing from upstream due to the impact of storm No. 3 and the flood discharge regulation from large hydroelectric reservoirs such as Hoa Binh and Tuyen Quang, the water level of the Red River and Luoc River through the province will continue to rise and become complicated in the coming days. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities, functional branches, and specialized units to coordinate closely, prepare human resources and materials, and quickly handle situations and incidents when flooding occurs. Closely monitor river water levels and issue timely warnings. Carefully check areas at risk of landslides and flooding to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
