Comrade Luu Van Trung was elected Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council.

At the 5th session, thematic session, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, term 2021-2026, elected comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the term 2021-2026.

On the afternoon of November 14, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 5th session - a thematic session - to review, discuss and resolve many urgent issues related to socio-economic development, security and order assurance, budget management and organizational work of the province in 2025 and the following years.

Speaking at the session, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, emphasized that this is the second session after the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, which is meaningful in concretizing the direction of the Provincial Party Congress Resolution into the practice of operating the local government with specific mechanisms and policies, solving urgent issues in the near future to contribute to accelerating and breaking through socio-economic development in the province in 2025 and in the term 2025-2030.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province spoke at the session.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council considered and resolved on 9 important contents in the fields of finance, budget, public investment, social security and administrative reform.

These are not individual resolutions, but a system of fundamental, synchronous, interconnected and mutually supportive policies. He requested that delegates actively study, participate in lively discussions, and clarify issues so that the Provincial People's Council can make accurate, appropriate and legal resolutions.

At the same time, delegates are requested to promote a sense of responsibility, respect the principle of democratic centralism, and objectivity in deciding on the dismissal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the dismissal of the duties of Provincial People's Council delegates, and the election of additional Chairman of the Provincial People's Council in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring the principle of comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee, contributing to perfecting the leadership and operation mechanism of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council resolved to relieve comrade Tran Hong Thai from the position of Chairman of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, due to his transfer and appointment as Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council introduced comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delegate of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, to be elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, term 2021-2026.

With 110/112 votes in favor, comrade Luu Van Trung was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021-2026.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province presented flowers to comrade Tran Hong Thai and comrade Luu Van Trung.

In his acceptance speech, comrade Luu Van Trung pledged to work with the Provincial People's Council to make every effort to serve the people, worthy of the trust entrusted by the Party Committee, voters and people.

At the same time, together with the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Committees of the People's Council continue to preserve and promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, inheriting the valuable results and experiences of previous localities; closely coordinate with the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and agencies, units and localities to successfully complete the common tasks.

Comrade Luu Van Trung pledged to work with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council to make every effort to serve the people, worthy of the trust entrusted by the Party Committee, voters and people.

Comrade Luu Van Trung was born in 1974, hometown Hung Yen province; advanced degree in political theory, land management engineer, Master of agriculture.

During his working career, he held the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, concurrently Secretary of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Dak Nong province; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Mil district, the former Dak Nong province; Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of the former Dak Nong province; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the former Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the former Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of the former Dak Nong province, term 2021-2026.

At the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, comrade Luu Van Trung was appointed by the Politburo to continue holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

From July 2025 to October 2025, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

At the meeting, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council also voted to dismiss comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, who was assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and introduced to the Provincial People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term; comrade Tran Hong Thai and a retired delegate who submitted a resignation letter based on personal wishes.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province Ho Van Muoi congratulated comrade Luu Van Trung and comrade Hoang Van Bang.

At the same time, the results of the election of additional members of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Hoang Van Bang, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, were agreed upon.
