(ABO) On March 28 and 29, the Vietnam Youth Union ( VYU) of Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province held the 6th District Youth Union Congress, term 2024 - 2029.

With the slogan of action: "Tan Phuoc Youth Solidarity - Aspiration - Pioneer - Dedication", the Congress conducted consultations to select 27 members of the Tan Phuoc District Youth Union Committee for the 2024 - 2029 term and consulted to elect a Delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029, consisting of 18 members (including 1 alternate delegate). Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh was re-elected as President of the Tan Phuoc District Youth Union for the 6th term, term 2024 - 2029.

During the past term, the Youth Union of Tan Phuoc district has promoted its role and responsibility, expanded the solidarity front to gather young people, overcome difficulties, and enthusiastically participated in volunteer activities. Especially the Campaign "Tan Phuoc Youth Builds New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas".

As a result, the Youth Union of Tan Phuoc district has built 42 new houses, repaired and built 19 new rural traffic bridges; cut down trees, cleared bushes on roads with a total length of 98 km; salvaged water hyacinth, cleared 47 km of water; repaired and upgraded rural roads, paved roads with bluestone over 69 km long; planted 26,176 new trees of all kinds... The district level has carried out 38 projects, the Youth Union's bases have carried out 268 projects with a total value of over 14 billion VND, attracting over 8,500 members, youth, and volunteer students to participate.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh was re-elected as President of the Youth Union of Tan Phuoc district for the 2024 - 2029 term.

In addition, the Youth Union at all levels in Tan Phuoc district also coordinated with relevant sectors to implement 39 youth startup projects with a total value of 1.6 billion VND, reaching 390% of the target; supported 25 young people to escape poverty and stabilize their lives; coordinated with the district Social Policy Bank to disburse loans to 735 households with a total outstanding debt of 36 billion VND to date.

At the same time, coordinate to provide counseling and job referrals for 3,619 union members, youth and demobilized soldiers. As a result, 1,420 young people have stable jobs.
