During his working career, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong held the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and then Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for many years, leaving in the hearts of cadres, party members and people of the capital good impressions of an exemplary leader, a true communist, devoted and sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, for the happiness of the people of the capital and the whole country.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Mui, Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Group 21, Vinh Tuy Ward Party Committee, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi expressed: Although he is very busy with the work of the Party and the city government, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong always cares, encourages, and visits cadres, party members, and armed forces, especially at the grassroots level, with the most special affection. Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong's closeness and concern make everyone very emotional, increasing the spirit of solidarity and patriotism under the leadership of the Party.

Although he is busy with many jobs, he always takes advantage of every opportunity to meet the people and attend the Great National Unity Day in residential areas; when he cannot attend, he sends flowers and congratulatory gifts.

During his tenure as Chairman of the National Assembly and General Secretary, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong visited and worked with the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province many times. Feeling disappointed upon hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, Mr. Vu Quang Quyet, Secretary of the Party Cell of Phuc Trung Street, Phuc Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City, said that this was a great loss for our Party, country and people.
