According to observations by a reporter from Ba Ria-Vung Tau Newspaper, from 5 a.m., the two parking lots at Nghinh Phong Cape slope and along both sides of Thuy Van road, near Nghinh Phong Cape slope, were completely filled with motorbikes and cars waiting to visit Hon Ba Temple.

As dawn broke and the tide receded, thousands of locals and tourists from provinces such as Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City , Long An, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, and Can Tho followed the rugged, shell-strewn path in long lines to visit Hon Ba Temple, praying for health, peace, and good fortune for themselves and their families.

Hon Ba Temple, located on a small island in the Vung Tau sea, is one of the city's famous sacred spiritual sites. Situated in a unique location, it is only accessible to visitors when the tide is low. The temple also attracts visitors from all over due to its historical stories and spiritual culture.

Many locals and tourists visited Hon Ba Temple on the morning of the full moon in the first lunar month. |
According to legend, in 1781, a village official in Thang Tam village erected the temple on Hon Ba Island to worship the Water Dragon Goddess, hoping she would bless the fishermen with safety and abundant catches of shrimp and fish.
Each year, Hon Ba Temple holds four annual worship ceremonies, based on the tides, in January, April, July, and October (Lunar Calendar). Specifically in January, from the 13th to the 17th of the lunar month, from 5:00 AM to approximately 9:30 AM, the tide is at its lowest, revealing a rugged rocky path across the sea, making it easier for locals and tourists to walk to Hon Ba Temple.
