The program was connected online to healthcare facilities nationwide. The event demonstrated the entire sector's determination to improve the lives, protect the health, and enhance working conditions for union members and healthcare workers – the force directly responsible for caring for and protecting the health of the people.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, the health sector has continuously developed its human resources in terms of both scale and quality over the past period; working conditions have gradually improved. Occupational safety and health have seen many positive changes; and the rights and interests of healthcare workers are increasingly better protected. However, the health sector still faces many challenges as climate change, digital transformation, and the rapid changes in employment models place new demands on occupational safety and health. In some areas, compliance with regulations is not strict, and the risk of occupational accidents and diseases remains.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong requested that all levels, sectors, and units within the health sector focus on implementing key tasks such as continuing to improve mechanisms and policies on labor, employment, and occupational safety and health; building a stable, safe, and sustainable working environment; and attracting and developing high-quality human resources. The health sector also prioritizes the implementation of breakthrough solutions in science, technology, and innovation in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; and promoting the application of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve the efficiency of management and the quality of healthcare services. In addition, units need to raise awareness and build a culture of occupational safety; proactively prevent risks and improve working conditions; and promote the role of trade unions in caring for the lives and protecting the rights of workers. Strengthen inspection and monitoring of the implementation of laws on occupational safety and hygiene.
At the ceremony, the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Health Workers' Union agreed to launch the emulation movement "Health Workers' Union accompanies the health of workers in the period 2026 - 2030" with key tasks including strengthening legal awareness and building a culture of occupational safety; caring for the physical and mental health of medical staff; improving the working environment and conditions; encouraging technical innovation initiatives and the application of science and technology associated with ensuring occupational safety.

Workers' Month is not only a peak period of emulation but also an opportunity to affirm the role, position, and contributions of the Vietnamese working class in the cause of national construction and defense. For the health sector, this activity is even more meaningful as medical staff work daily in a unique environment with many pressures and risks. Through practical activities, the Trade Union affirms its role as a reliable support for workers, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations and promoting the sustainable development of the health sector.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee provided support to 10 trade union members and medical staff in Quang Tri province who suffered work accidents or occupational diseases, and 13 union members with difficult circumstances or serious illnesses, aiming to help workers overcome difficulties and feel secure in their work.
