According to the Department of Construction, implementing the announcement of the Provincial People's Committee, recently, the Department of Construction has sent documents to relevant departments and branches to give comments on the plan to renovate and establish Bien Hoa Ancient Citadel Square, Song Pho Square and renovate Nguyen Van Tri Park.
Based on the synthesis of opinions from units, currently, regarding the plan to renovate and establish Bien Hoa Citadel Square, the Department of Construction has issued a document advising the Provincial People's Committee to propose the following contents: approving the necessary policy to renovate and establish Bien Hoa Citadel Square, renovate the landscape space, redesign the campus, and assigning the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction and Bien Hoa City to specifically implement; approving the assignment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Bien Hoa City to dismantle the 2-storey building in front of Bien Hoa Citadel and relocate the assets of Quang Vinh Cooperative.
Regarding the renovation and establishment of Song Pho Square, currently, this area includes a number of headquarters of agencies and organizations whose land use planning has been adjusted to public service land in the Bien Hoa city general planning adjustment project that is being prepared.
Regarding Nguyen Van Tri Park, the Department of Construction has also proposed that Bien Hoa City survey and select a section of about 50m for renovation in the direction of increasing people's access to the Dong Nai River.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that Bien Hoa city is a class I urban area but lacks key projects, while relics can be embellished, promoted, and become urban highlights.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha agreed to assign the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over the renovation and establishment of Bien Hoa Ancient Citadel Square. At the same time, the Department of Finance was assigned to update 2 projects on renovation and establishment of Song Pho Square; construction and renovation of Bien Hung Park in the list of medium-term public investment projects for the period 2026-2030.
