Mobilizing resources for tourism development

Since the beginning of 2025, the province as well as departments, branches and localities have developed programs and plans to implement tourism development to concretize the province's policies and resolutions in tourism development.

For example, specifying the plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on developing tourism into an important economic sector; the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee on developing rural tourism in building new rural areas in the period of 2023-2025; plans and directives of the Central and Government in implementing key tasks and solutions, accelerating recovery, accelerating effective and sustainable tourism development; directives on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable development in the coming time of the Prime Minister.

According to Dong Nai Province's Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, tourism will become one of the five pillars of the province's economic development.

In addition, the tourism industry also identifies key tasks and specific, practical solutions to develop provincial tourism in 2025 and the following years; at the same time, strengthen coordination between levels, sectors, agencies, units, and enterprises so that Dong Nai tourism can accelerate, break through, develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably, towards developing Dong Nai tourism in 2025 with the theme "Dong Nai tourism takes off with aviation".

Mr. Nguyen Van Hau, Deputy Head of the Department of Sports and Tourism Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC), said that to implement the tourism development plan for 2025 and the following years, the province has set out 18 tasks to be solved. Up to now, the tasks are being focused on and have had initial results. Notably, the Chua Chan Mountain Ecotourism, Resort and Entertainment Project for the period 2021-2030 has been launched.

Previously, tourism, resort and entertainment projects in Tan Phu protective forest and Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve were also approved by the Provincial People's Committee and there were investors interested and registered for investment.

For private tourism projects and destinations, many eco-tourism destinations such as gardens and lakes are invested by people to take advantage of the family's land location with beautiful space and landscape to become tourist attractions that attract a large number of visitors.

Removing difficulties for tourism projects

Dong Nai has great potential for tourism development in the fields of forest ecology, gardens, lakes; nature exploration; cultural and historical relic tourism. Many large-scale tourism projects have been planned for many years but have not been implemented early due to regulations related to land, planning, and some regulations.

In recent years, the province has had solutions to remove difficulties for the tourism industry, especially key tourism projects.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that, implementing the direction of the provincial leaders, the department is coordinating with departments and branches to strengthen the organization of propaganda activities, raising awareness of officials, party members, businesses and people about the position and role of tourism in socio-economic development. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is focusing on building and putting into operation the Tan Trieu Cultural - Tourism Village tourism model; surveying and building tourist routes of the province; building the Project to develop Tri An Lake tourism into a national tourist area; organizing the Pottery and Hot Air Balloon Festival, preparing for the Dong Nai Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week event in 2025...

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with relevant departments and sectors to guide or advise on timely resolution of tourism projects related to forest land, forest environment lease and tourism development projects related to the state management fields of the sector.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung emphasized that according to the Dong Nai Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Dong Nai has identified Long Thanh International Airport and Dong Nai River as new driving forces for breakthrough development. By 2030, it strives to become a civilized, modern, high-growth province with dynamic economic development and a leader in the development of aviation economy, high-tech industry, and innovation. By 2050, Dong Nai will become a centrally-governed city, a center of international trade, tourism, and services associated with world-class urban areas, focusing on green economy and circular economy and achieving the net zero goal by 2050.
