Dong Thap successfully concluded its visit and working trip to Japan

After 7 working days, on May 28, the delegation of Dong Thap province, led by Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, successfully concluded the visit and work in Japan, thereby opening up many opportunities in promoting investment and trade with partners in the "land of the rising sun".

On May 27, the Delegation visited and worked with Lang Cay Nursing Home and Shimamoto Microbial Fertilizer Company.

In addition to learning about the operations of the units, at the working sessions, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia introduced the potentials, strengths, and investment attraction orientations of Dong Thap. Thereby, opening up many cooperation opportunities with Japanese enterprises in the fields of: Digital transformation, healthcare, education, agriculture and especially in labor cooperation.

At the working session with the Japan Asia Medical Education and Welfare Research Institute (JAMWEI Institute), Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia and Mr. Yoshino Mashayoshi - Director of JAMWEI Institute shared about the orientations in implementing cooperation contents, in which, in 2024, with cooperation contents such as: Exchange on Elderly Care Model; implementing a short-term training program on nursing for staff and lecturers of Dong Thap Medical College at Hyogo University...

During this trip, the delegation of Dong Thap province visited and worked with the leaders of Hanyu city (Saitama province) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Thereby, strengthening the friendly relationship between Japanese localities and Dong Thap; at the same time, promoting cooperation opportunities in various fields and calling for investment and trade in Dong Thap province.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia, the trip successfully completed the program contents as planned, thereby opening up many cooperation opportunities with Japanese partners in many fields; at the same time promoting the potential and strengths of the province, which is the basis to attract Japanese investors to learn about and invest in the province.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia added that after the end of the working trip, the Provincial People's Committee will direct relevant departments, branches and units to connect with Japanese units to specify the contents at the Delegation's working sessions with Japanese partners.
