Cars streamed out of the city to return to their hometowns for Tet (Lunar New Year), causing severe traffic congestion at the gateways to the capital.

TPO - On the morning of February 13th (the 26th day of the 12th lunar month), traffic pressure increased dramatically at Hanoi's gateways as people rushed to return to their hometowns early. While the Ring Road 3 and radial routes to the South experienced prolonged congestion, inner-city traffic remained stable and flowed smoothly.
