Dongfeng Warrior, in cooperation with Huawei, has just officially launched the Warrior 817 off-road SUV. Immediately after its launch, this model recorded 9,713 pre-orders in just 1 hour, showing great attraction in the domestic market. Warrior 817 is currently on pre-sale with prices ranging from 329,900 - 359,900 yuan (about 1.2 to 1.3 billion VND). Dongfeng Warrior 817 is positioned as a high-performance off-road SUV, combining rugged design and smart technology. The car has two versions: City and Off-road.
The City version has a soft appearance, full front bumper, aerodynamic wheels. The off-road version is optimized for off-road with external door hinges, locking wheels and a winch with a pulling capacity of up to 5.6 tons. The vehicle has dimensions (Length x Width x Height) of (5,100 x 1,998 x 1,899) mm, a wheelbase of 3,005 mm, an approach angle of 33 degrees, a departure angle of 34 degrees and a ground clearance of up to 385 mm with air suspension, ready to conquer terrain. The Warrior 817 cockpit impresses with a 15.6-inch curved screen running Huawei's HarmonyOS Cockpit 5.0 operating system, combined with a rotary knob control cluster and aviation-style on/off switches.
The car has 13 charging ports, supports 6kW external charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and StarFlash digital key, suitable for camping, rescue or moving in remote areas. Warrior 817 uses the M-TECH platform developed by Dongfeng and Huawei's Tianyuan architecture, offering two powertrain options: a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine combined with 2 electric motors (front and rear), total capacity up to 680 kW (912 horsepower), maximum torque of 1,280 Nm, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. CATL's dedicated Freevoy battery system allows the vehicle to run purely electric for up to 200km (CLTC), with a total operating range exceeding 1,000km.
Warrior 817 is also integrated with Qiankun ADS 4 ADAS driving assistance system, with features such as: automatic driving from parking point A to point B, high-speed navigation system and automatic handling of more than 160 different parking situations.
