The fire broke out at around 4:15 p.m. on March 17, in a valley in alley 135 Hoang Hoa Tham, Ward 10, Da Lat City ( Lam Dong ). Specifically, the fire broke out at plot number 115, residential group 7.

As a result, the fire burned down 5 houses with iron frames and tile roofs that were built illegally as homestays and were forcibly demolished by the ward People's Committee in 2019. They are now abandoned. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but it threatened the entire residential area on the valley slope.

Authorities initially determined that the cause was due to two workers weeding at the above address burning dry grass, causing the fire to spread to an area of weeds of about 1,000 ^square meters, but due to lack of control, the fire spread to the row of prefabricated houses.
