Specifically, in Decision No. 2090/QD-BVHTTDL signed by Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong on August 7, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Cinema to preside over and coordinate with the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio Company Limited, Vietnam Animation Film Studio Joint Stock Company, Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Film Screening and Distribution Centers of provinces and centrally run cities to organize the Film Festival to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023) nationwide.
The film series took place from August 19 to September 5, including the documentary " Diplomatic steps and an unwanted war" (Ho Chi Minh in 1946 - part 2) produced by Vietking Media Joint Stock Company, "Professor Ta Quang Buu - Patriotic scientist" produced by Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio LLC, "People who keep the soul of the land" produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company.
The documentary “Diplomatic Steps and an Unwanted War” is a sequel to the film “ Ho Chi Minh in 1946”, which was widely shown nationwide on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Outline of Vietnamese Culture earlier this year. The film was produced by Vietking Media Joint Stock Company.
In addition, the Film Series also includes the animated film "Mother's Dream" produced by Vietnam Animation Film Studio Joint Stock Company and the film "Crossing the Black Water Road" produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company.
“Dream of Motherhood” is a short film about a duck who overcomes many difficulties to fulfill her dream of incubating eggs herself, to have beautiful children like her mother hen. The film both explains the story of the duck that does not incubate eggs and shows young viewers the love of a mother for her children.
The budget for the Film Series is drawn from the 2023 film dissemination funding source of the Department of Cinema.
