This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd is a long one, so the demand for train travel before and after the holiday is higher than usual. To meet the travel demand of the people, from August 29th to September 3rd, the Railway industry will organize the operation of dozens of extra train pairs on all routes.
Accordingly, on the North-South railway line, in addition to regularly organizing 12 train pairs including: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE11/SE12 (Saigon - Hanoi ), SE21/SE22 (Saigon - Da Nang), SNT1/SNT2 (Saigon - Nha Trang), SPT1/SPT2 (Saigon - Phan Thiet), SE19/SE20 (Hanoi - Da Nang), HD1/HD2, HD3/HD4 (Hue - Da Nang), NA1/NA2 (Hanoi - Vinh).
Vietnam Railways Corporation will organize an additional pair of SE9/SE10 trains on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route and vice versa and dozens of pairs of trains from Saigon station to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon stations, from Nha Trang to Da Nang, from Hanoi to Quang Binh , Lao Cai, Hai Phong... Specifically:
Ho Chi Minh City – Quy Nhon route, add SE29, SE30 trains; Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang route, add SNT4, SNT5, SNT7, SNT8 and SNT12 trains; Nha Trang – Da Nang route, add SE41, SE42 trains; Hanoi – Dong Hoi route, add QB1, QB2 and SE17 trains. Northern region, Hanoi – Lao Cai route, add SP7, SP8 trains; Hanoi – Thanh Hoa route, add TH1, TH2 trains; Hanoi – Vinh route, add NA3, NA4 trains; Hanoi – Hai Phong route, add LP9, LP10, HP3, HP4 and HD2 trains departing from Hai Duong station.
According to statistics, as of 12 noon on August 23, nearly 66,000 tickets had been sold, mainly from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to the provinces on August 30 and 31 and returning on September 3.
To prepare well for this peak season, Vietnam Railways Corporation has directed railway companies to arrange enough personnel to guard at intersections during the September 2 holiday; locomotive enterprise branches to do a good job of examining, repairing, and adjusting locomotives and carriages, ensuring sufficient quantity and quality of locomotives and carriages; operating branches to strengthen security and safety at stations; transportation companies to prepare enough human resources and materials to serve passengers...
Currently, buying train tickets is being done in many different ways, so it is very convenient for passengers who want to buy tickets. Passengers who want to buy tickets can access the railway industry's websites, via e-wallet applications or train ticket sales apps on mobile devices...; at the same time, they can contact directly at the stations, automatic ticket POS at tourist attractions, or through ticket sales agents of the railway industry...
During this peak season, the railway still maintains a policy of reducing round-trip tickets by 5%-7% and discounts for social policy beneficiaries: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, the elderly, students, union members, etc.
