Vessels operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the impact of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
"Although not directly affected by the storm's circulation, areas on the far edge of the storm's circulation such as the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northern region and the eastern coastal areas of the North may experience thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind," noted Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
In Hai Phong, according to the city's Hydrometeorological Station, through monitoring radar images at 1 p.m. on September 8, it was shown that in the East and West of Hai Phong city, convective clouds were developing, causing showers and thunderstorms. In addition, convective clouds from the North were moving southward toward Hai Phong.
From now until the next 3 hours, the above convective clouds will cause thunderstorms in the communes/wards in the West and Northeast of Hai Phong city such as: Dong Hai, Hai An, Duong Kinh, Do Son, Cat Hai special zone, Thuy Nguyen, Luu Kiem, Viet Khue, Ngo Quyen, Hong Bang, Le Chan, Phu Lien, Kien An, Chi Linh, Nam Sach, Nguyen Trai, Tran Hung Dao, Cam Giang, Hai Duong, Ke Sat, Nguyen Luong Bang, Thanh Mien, Gia Loc, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, Vinh Bao...
