Weather forecast 5/26/2024: Nghe An to Phu Yen will experience intense heat

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (May 26), the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas. Beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas.

Regarding the hot weather, yesterday (May 25), in the Southern region, there was widespread heat, the highest temperature during the day was commonly from 35-36 degrees, some places were over 36 degrees such as: Thu Dau Mot ( Binh Duong ) 36.9 degrees, Cao Lanh (Dong Thap) 37.7 degrees, Can Tho 37 degrees,... the lowest relative humidity was commonly 55-60%; the area from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa had local heat.

It is forecasted that on May 26, the mountainous areas from Nghe An to Phu Yen will be hot, with some places experiencing severe heat. From May 27, the heat will expand to the areas from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, with some places above 37 degrees; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranging from 50-55%.

Today, the Southern region continues to experience hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees, some places above 36 degrees; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranging from 55-60%. From May 27, the hot weather in the Southern region tends to gradually decrease.

Cloudy, sunny during the day, hot in the western mountains, some places with very hot sun; showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Light wind. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, especially in the western mountains where it is hot and sunny, with some areas experiencing severe heat; showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night in some places.
