Around 8 a.m., the number of domestic and international visitors to the Imperial Citadel began to increase, including independent travelers and tour groups.
On February 17th, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relics Conservation Center offered free admission to all relics within the Hue Ancient Citadel Complex for Vietnamese citizens and tourists.

The weather was cool, with occasional light rain, but it didn't affect spring excursions. Tourists watched the changing of the guard ceremony, enjoyed performances of traditional music, Hue folk songs, a comprehensive art program, and the cannon firing display after the ceremony at Ngo Mon Gate.
Director of the Hue Ancient Citadel Conservation Center, Hoang Viet Trung, personally welcomed and presented lucky money envelopes to the first international visitors, while also extending New Year greetings.

Earlier that day, the Hue City Department of Tourism announced that occupancy rates at accommodation establishments had increased since the first day of Tet (Lunar New Year). Specifically, occupancy reached approximately 71% on the first day, 93% on the second day, and as high as 99% on the third day.
