Representatives from The Anam Cam Ranh resort ( Khanh Hoa province ) recently announced the launch of a free coconut harvesting experience for their guests. The activity is held regularly every Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the entrance to the wellness and recreation area within the resort grounds. This is one of the new activities introduced by the resort to enhance the experience of connecting with nature and local culture for international guests. It is known that the entire resort currently has over 3,000 coconut trees, and guests can drink as much coconut water as they like on harvesting day without charge.
Specifically, guests will be able to directly observe garden staff climbing tall coconut trees to harvest mature coconuts. After harvesting, staff will assist in chopping the coconuts on the spot, while also explaining how to distinguish between young and mature coconuts, as well as the appropriate time for harvesting. Guests can enjoy both the fresh coconut water and the coconut flesh according to their preference.
According to representatives from The Anam Cam Ranh, this activity has received positive feedback from many domestic and international tourists because it provides a sense of closeness to tropical Vietnamese life, especially for families with young children. "We have received a lot of positive feedback from tourists about this simple yet authentic experience. By understanding the story behind the coconut, tourists will better appreciate the natural beauty of Vietnam," shared Laurent Myter, General Manager of The Anam Group.
This resort, which allows guests to harvest coconuts for free in Cam Ranh, was previously ranked among the top 100 best hotels in the world in 2025 by the renowned American travel magazine Fodor's Travel; and the Travelers' Choice Awards also placed it in the top 2 of the "Best Family Resorts in the World".
