That is the feeling of many Vietnamese tourists when traveling for the first time to Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Located on the shore of the Persian Gulf, this is the second most populous city (after Dubai) of the UAE.

Many people only know Dubai for its luxurious day life and vibrant night life. However, there is also an Abu Dhabi rich in cultural traditions and many massive, classy architectural works that are gradually becoming more widely known.

If this is your first time here, with a 4 day 3 night itinerary, what will you discover ?

Day 1: Starting with architecture and speed

Morning: Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - in Vietnamese often called Sheikh Zayed Mosque or Sheikh Zayed Mosque. This is the largest mosque in the UAE and an important religious structure in Abu Dhabi. The building consists of 82 domes, hundreds of columns, materials from all over the world, and is decorated with silvery white marble, creating a quiet yet majestic look.

Afterwards, visitors can visit the Al Maqtaa Fort museum and the bridge connecting the island to the mainland. The museum guides are very charming, and visitors get a stamp after listening to the explanation. The museum is small but interesting.

Any visitor coming here wants to check-in with the world's largest hand-woven carpet and the chandelier shaped like an upside-down date palm tree. The carpet has been placed here for nearly 20 years; the chandelier consists of 7 pieces, with the main light weighing up to 12 tons, and the small lights weighing 8 tons, overwhelming.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is a place that many young Vietnamese people who love speed in Vietnam want to go to. This is the world's largest indoor park, located under a 200,000 m2 roof designed in a style inspired by the body of a Ferrari GT. This park also owns the world's fastest roller coaster system, with a speed of 200 km/h.

Day 2: Nature and Art

Morning: Kayaking at Jubail Mangrove Park - a mangrove park on Al Jubail Island, near Saadiyat and Yas Islands. The sub-paddling experience is very interesting, the water level rises and falls, causing the trees to change color, if you are lucky you can even see flamingos. Visitors can also walk on the 2 km long boardwalk to see the mangrove ecosystem and wildlife. Residents and children are encouraged to plant trees in this area.

Noon: Visit the wholesale and retail agricultural market, with giant watermelons (about 10 kg/fruit), onions, etc. The market is divided into two areas: a wholesale area like the main market and a retail area for tourists. Next to it, the traditional market also has very attractive dates and chocolates, etc. The staff invites customers to try candies and hot tea for free, showing hospitality and enthusiasm.

The seafood market next door also makes a strong impression with its beautiful and clean layout. This is the oldest seafood market in Abu Dhabi, located at Mina Zayed port, with fresh seafood such as lobster, red fish, gray fish, and other types of fish. Visitors can bring their purchased seafood to restaurants to be processed immediately or bring it to the market's separate processing area if they want to cook it at home. Note that the seafood market does not allow visitors to bring in cameras with interchangeable lenses, but taking pictures with phones is acceptable.

In the afternoon, visitors should definitely visit the "TeamLab Phenomena" exhibition area - a surreal digital art space where light, sound and movement blend together to create a top visual experience.

Day 3: Culture, art and shopping streets

Morning: Visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a modern art museum located on Saadiyat Island, a world architectural icon. There is a very "hot" virtual living corner spread by social networks, a small and straight road leading to the middle of the lake that everyone wants to check in.

End of the day: Transfer to Zayed International Airport by private transfer and enjoy duty-free shopping at the airport. We recommend buying perfume, which is often better priced. Afterwards, stay in the Etihad luxury lounge with direct views of the airport before flying straight to Hanoi.

The weather in winter here (can be called the dry season) remains around 20-29 °C, dry and pleasant for tourists. Regarding cuisine, Middle Eastern food tends to have a strong sour taste and is a bit salty. Women visiting temples are required to cover up and wear scarves; the experience of buying traditional costumes here is also very interesting, the price is around 100 AED, which is about more than 700,000 VND.

Currently, most tours from Vietnam to Abu Dhabi are often combined with Dubai, with prices ranging from 27.9 million to 35 million VND for a 5-day, 4-night trip, departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Some high-end tours using 5-star airlines, good hotels or more dense schedules can cost up to 70-80 million VND, especially during the peak season at the end of the year.

Visitors should carefully check the duration of their stay in Abu Dhabi on their tour as each program can allocate very different amounts of time. For those who want an in-depth experience, they can choose a tour that focuses entirely on Abu Dhabi or design a customized itinerary.
