With effective business operations, increasing number of tourists on weekends and holidays; becoming the only representative of Vietnam voted by a prestigious American magazine as the most attractive destination in the world..., Hoa Binh tourism is "spreading its wings" on the journey to the destination of 2025 with the goal of welcoming 4.9 million visitors, including 1 million international visitors; total revenue from tourism reaching 5,400 billion VND.

The first months of the year are also the peak tourist season with the New Year holiday, especially the long Lunar New Year holiday, and the Spring festival activities taking place in all localities. Notable are the Mong New Year and the Gau Tao festival of the Mong ethnic group in Hang Kia and Pa Co communes (Mai Chau). During this time, the community tourism destination of Hang Kia and Pa Co welcomed over 3,000 overnight visitors. The Gau Tao festival attracted over 6,000 visitors and locals to visit and experience the activities. During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, Hoa Binh was one of the attractive destinations thanks to its rich experiential activities and many new products being put into operation. As a result, the province's tourist areas and spots welcomed 250,000 visitors, an increase of 25% over the same period, with total revenue from tourism business activities reaching 132 billion VND, an increase of 11.8% over the same period.
During and after the Tet holiday, dozens of traditional festivals at the provincial, district and communal levels were held, promoting tourism activities at the destinations. Typically, the Khai Ha Festival of the Muong ethnic group in Hoa Binh province was held in Phong Phu commune, Tan Lac district with 95,000 participants, including 85,000 tourists; Tien Pagoda Festival (Lac Thuy) welcomed about 30,000 people and tourists. Besides the provincial festivals, many unique communal festivals attracted many domestic and international tourists such as: Gau Tao (Mai Chau), Khenh communal house (Lac Son), Thac Bo Lord Temple (Cao Phong, Da Bac) ...
On February 3, January 6, PriorBay - Ngoi Hoa Eco-tourism Area in Suoi Hoa Commune (Tan Lac) officially opened, promising to be a prominent destination of Hoa Binh tourism with luxurious and classy accommodation experiences; exciting entertainment services: rainbow slide, jet ski, kayak racing, grass sliding... Here, visitors can explore the natural space of the majestic and poetic Hoa Binh Lake; a colorful entertainment paradise with refreshing and exciting water sports activities. In particular, visitors have the opportunity to experience the longest inflatable slide in Southeast Asia.
Comrade Bui Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: To achieve the goals and plans for tourism development in 2025 and the following years, the province prioritizes resources to invest in synchronous technical infrastructure and improve the quality of tourism services. In particular, focusing on developing cultural tourism, preserving and promoting local heritage values, focusing on developing high-quality resort tourism and sports tourism products.
On the other hand, in order to attract tourism investment and create favorable travel conditions for tourists, the province has invested in ports and roads on both sides of the Hoa Binh Lake Tourist Area to connect routes; restored and embellished historical and cultural relics and scenic spots to become tourist attractions; promoted and built quality tourism projects and products to exploit potentials, attract more tourists to the province, strived to make tourism a key economic sector, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.
Currently, Hoa Binh continues to develop a system of highly connected products, such as: eco-tourism - resort; community and rural tourism associated with OCOP products combined with craft village experiences; cultural and historical tourism combined with festivals; culinary tourism associated with cultural and sports events; government tourism, digital tourism; resort tourism combined with health care... Along with that, the province effectively implements Project 6 on preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development under the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Focus is placed on building strong tourism products in terms of eco-culture, resort, and community. A number of high-quality entertainment projects in Hoa Binh Lake Tourist Area completed and put into operation will create a highlight to attract tourists to Hoa Binh province.
