On the morning of January 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to announce typical cultural, sports and tourism events in Thanh Hoa province in 2024.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, said that in 2023, the total number of tourists to the province will reach nearly 12.5 million (an increase of 13.1% compared to 2022, reaching 104% of the 2023 plan), of which international tourists will reach 616,200 (2.5 times higher than in 2022, reaching 100.2% of the 2023 plan).
Total tourism revenue reached VND 24,505 billion, up 22.2% compared to 2022, reaching 101.3% of the 2023 plan (international tourists reached: 260 million USD).

According to Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong, to achieve the above results, Thanh Hoa tourism industry has constantly created, innovated and perfected the province's three main product lines including sea tourism, spiritual cultural tourism, and community eco-tourism.

In order to promote the achieved results and strive to achieve the planned target of 13.8 million visitors in 2024, with total tourism revenue reaching VND 32,387 billion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to consolidate and maintain safe, friendly and attractive destinations; at the same time, mobilize agencies, units and localities to develop plans to organize and register cultural, sports and tourism activities and events in 2024, creating a widespread ripple effect, attracting the attention of people and tourists.
