At this time, La Da commune is in the durian harvest season. It is easy to see that along both sides of the main road of the commune, there are many ripe durian selling points opened to serve the needs of tourists . The highlight is the model for tourists to visit durian gardens to visit, experience and enjoy durian in the garden. Mr. Nguyen Thai Hau (born in 1990) in group 1, Da Tro village, La Da commune has more than 10 hectares of durian in the harvest season. Mr. Hau shared: “I rented all the durian acreage 4 years ago to invest in care, harvest and exploit to serve tourists. In addition to selling fruit to traders, my wife and I also opened a stall to sell to tourists. In response to the need of customers to experience the durian garden, I took advantage of the durian garden that was full of fruit to open it for free for visitors. Visiting the durian garden not only brings interesting experiences to customers but is also an opportunity for us to introduce durian products directly to tourists”. This is the first year Mr. Hau has implemented this model, so it is quite new. Mr. Hau hopes that the local government will pay attention and support the development of the durian production model associated with eco-tourism in the coming time.

Mr. Minh's family has a garden area of about 10 hectares with durian varieties such as Ri6, Muangthong, Musang King, and milk rice... At first, Mr. Minh only sold to traders. In recent years, he has combined eco-tourism to increase his family's income. According to Mr. Minh, most tourists from the province and neighboring provinces such as Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City... travel in small groups of friends or self-sufficient families. In the summer, especially on weekends, the number of visitors is quite large. Ms. Trang, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "My family came here to visit. La Da is a land famous for its beautiful landscape and cool climate all year round. This is also a key area for durian, coffee, avocado, macadamia... with 700-hectare Da Mi hydroelectric lake, 2,520-hectare Ham Thuan lake and many large and small waterfalls... With great advantages in forests, mountains, lakes, waterfalls, it is very suitable for building "green" tours that are both close to nature and unique, attractive for tourists to visit and experience. Mr. Nguyen Anh Toan - Vice Chairman of La Da Commune People's Committee said: The whole commune currently has more than 1,000 hectares of durian, concentrated in Da Tro, La Day, Da Kim villages... In recent times, the local government has mobilized people to establish durian cooperatives and cooperatives, instructing farmers on the production process according to VietGap standards. In order to sustainably develop durian products in the coming time, the locality has proposed many solutions. In particular, focus on removing obstacles to soon grant land use right certificates so that people can feel secure in production, as well as calling for and attracting businesses to invest in tourism development. At the same time, propagate people not to spontaneously expand durian acreage, instead focus on caring for and improving products and crop yields. Encourage farmers to join the VietGap durian cooperative to consume products, produce durian in an organic direction to bring clean products to consumers and maintain the local durian brand. Along with that, connect to develop tourism with agriculture and rural areas in a sustainable way.
