According to data from the General Statistics Office ( Ministry of Finance ), Vietnam's tourism industry has reached a historic milestone by welcoming over 19.1 million international visitors in the first 11 months of 2025. This number not only increased by 20.9% compared to the same period in 2024 but also surpassed the record of 18 million in 2019, the time before the Covid-19 pandemic.

In November 2025 alone, Vietnam welcomed nearly 2 million international visitors, up 14.2% over the previous month and 15.6% over the same period in 2024. This is the month with the third highest number of international visitors since the beginning of the year.

Impressive recovery speed in the world

The latest report from the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) notes that the recovery of Vietnam's tourism is particularly impressive. While the Asia -Pacific region has only recovered 90% compared to pre-pandemic levels, Vietnam's tourism growth rate is ranked among the highest in the world, on par with Japan.

This growth is driven by favorable visa policies, enhanced tourism promotion programs and the organization of many large-scale events in localities.

Strong growth from European and American markets

November 2025 saw strong growth in tourist arrivals from high-spending markets. Specifically, visitors from North America skyrocketed, with the US up 30.5% and Canada up 55.9% compared to the previous month.

The European market also recorded an overall growth of up to 51.2% compared to October. Some countries with a spike include:

  • Poland: up 255.6%
  • Czech: up 148.8%
  • Italy: up 88.9%
  • Germany: up 51.4%
  • France: up 46.7%
  • Russia: up 37%

According to the Tourism Information Center, this growth reflects the trend of attracting visitors from distant markets to Vietnam during the peak tourist season at the end of the year.
