The People's Committee of Ca Mau province has agreed on the scope of planning research on an area of 20,100 hectares in the two communes of Dat Mui and Dat Moi, in which the key construction area is 2,100 hectares in Dat Mui commune. This is a step to concretize the Master Plan for the development of the Ca Mau Cape National Tourism Area to 2030 and the province's strategic orientations to 2050, creating a legal foundation for construction management, infrastructure development and synchronous investment attraction.
According to the plan, Ca Mau Cape is oriented to become a national-scale destination, featuring mangrove ecotourism products, cultural experiences of the Mekong Delta, island tourism and typical sightseeing of the southernmost region. Specific goals focus on organizing reasonable development space, using land effectively, connecting technical and social infrastructure and ensuring a sustainable environment, while connecting seamlessly with tourist routes and destinations in the province and the entire Mekong Delta region.
The planning also establishes the role of the National Tourism Center of Ca Mau Cape as the core of service development, entertainment, and resort, where the advantages of tourism resources and the ability to attract projects are concentrated. The development direction is placed in close connection with other localities in the region, aiming at a chain of non-overlapping tourism products, enhancing the experience for visitors.
With a planning period of up to 2050, the task requires a full study of natural factors, current population status, climate change impacts and ensuring the principles of green and sustainable development. This is considered an important initial step to shape the future of the Ca Mau Cape National Tourist Area, which is expected to become an iconic destination of the country in the coming decades.
