Up to now, M.Group's "Bringing Books to Children" project has deployed 11 charity bookcases placed in the lobbies of many resorts and hotels of this group in Da Nang City, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc.

Accordingly, when tourists come to stay here, after finishing reading their books, instead of taking them away, they can put the books in the charity bookcases located in the lobby of these hotels. Then, the hotel staff will collect the above books and magazines to classify and package before taking them to charity.

"Through volunteer trips, we realized that many children in mountainous areas have not had much access to outside knowledge sources, they mainly only know about textbooks. Material support can only solve immediate problems, but knowledge will help them in the long run," said a representative of M.Group.

This project started at the end of 2023, these charity bookcases are increasingly receiving attention from people and tourists. To date, M.Group has given 193 books to orphans at Son Ky Shelter (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City).

The donated books include both domestic and foreign books because the main source of books comes from tourists . The book genres are also diverse, such as children's comics, novels, magazines, etc., so the books and magazines will be classified to choose the appropriate ones before being donated. Specifically, books with specialized and academic content will be donated to libraries and schools to further support teaching and learning.

With a wide variety of books, children can access more interesting knowledge from all over the world. This helps them access more sources of human knowledge, which are still new to children in places where material conditions are still lacking.

To complete the target of sending 1 million books to children in remote areas in 2024, in the coming time, the "book post offices " under the project "Bringing books home to children" will be expanded in scale to public places such as parks, shopping centers...
