According to Saigontourist Group, the 2026 Lunar New Year flower street will have a completely new scale, marking the first time in its 23-year history that the flower street will showcase two distinct day and night experiences in the same space.

The year 2026 marks a turning point in the merger of Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Binh Duong into a "Southeast Asian international megacity." The 2026 Tet flower street embodies this spirit through the image of the Year of the Horse, a mythical creature soaring above a stylized bamboo grove, symbolizing the aspiration for breakthroughs and the unification of the three localities.

Accordingly, the daytime version, under the southern sun, Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 impressed with its large-scale arrangement, featuring over 100,000 flower baskets of various types. The grand display "Nine-Maned Red Horse" was sculpted to a height of 6.4 meters, combining multiple layers of color and gradient paint effects, creating a space where colors change depending on the viewing angle. The image of the "nine-maned red horse" symbolizes fulfillment and good fortune, harmoniously expressed through a blend of warm and cool colors.

The flying horse mascot rises above the stylized bamboo fence resembling large waves, symbolizing a powerful upward-striving energy.

Another highlight is the grand display "A Horse Galloping Leisurely," the largest mascot on this year's flower street, standing nearly 7 meters tall. Crafted from woven bamboo in a geometric structure, the mascot is environmentally friendly and, combined with the surrounding vegetation, creates an open space for visitors to stroll and explore.

The large-scale "Ly Ngua O" (Black Horse Song) sculpture is inspired by Southern Vietnamese folk melodies, featuring vibrant imagery and a bluish-purple color palette. The surface of the mascot is treated with a lacquer effect combined with 3D holographic cloud patterns, creating a shimmering effect when sunlight shines on it.

The "Brilliant Memories" area attracts attention with its giant rotating lantern, over 6 meters high and 6.4 meters in diameter. The lantern's rotating axis recreates familiar images of traditional Tet (Vietnamese New Year), evoking the atmosphere of Vietnamese folk culture.

The horse mascot at the gate

As night falls, Nguyen Hue Flower Street takes on a new look with its artistic lighting system and modern projection technology. Mapping technology is applied for the first time, allowing images to be projected directly onto the surface of the intricately structured mascots, creating a vivid visual effect.

The mascot at the entrance gate combines projected images and mechanical movement in certain parts, along with a system of LED border lights and chasing lights, providing a seamless visual experience.

In the final scene, "Beautiful Landscape," the static lighting system is cleverly arranged to highlight the mascots and create a sense of movement through light. The main scene consists of nine galloping horses, with three main horses sculpted as single pieces, and the remaining six having multi-layered structures arranged along a light axis, creating depth and emphasis for the entire space.

The 2026 Tet flower street will maintain its core value of national pride through historical figures such as Saint Giong's iron horse or the Tay Son warhorse - symbols of Vietnam's strength and resilience.

The Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet Binh Ngo 2026 continues to receive participation from the Consulates General of the United Kingdom, India, Laos, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, China, and Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City. Each country will bring its own unique cultural characteristics, creating a colorful and inclusive Tet atmosphere.
