At 7 PM tonight, February 15th (28th day of the 12th lunar month), Nguyen Hue Flower Street (Ho Chi Minh City) will officially open to welcome locals and tourists celebrating the Lunar New Year.
According to observations on the morning of February 15th, the final touches on the flower street were being urgently completed by the workers. After more than half a month of construction, the appearance of a youthful and vibrant flower street is gradually becoming clear, ready for the opening ceremony taking place that evening.
With meticulous investment in ideas and technology, this year's flower street is not only a space for appreciating traditional floral art but also marks a transformation with the strong application of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technology to the miniature landscapes.
2026 is a pivotal year for the nation, marking the merger of Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Binh Duong into a "Southeast Asian international megacity." The Tet flower street reflects this transformation with the image of the Year of the Horse mascot soaring above stylized bamboo groves resembling large waves, symbolizing a powerful upward energy.
The brightly lit gateway symbolizes the connection between the three localities, creating a dynamic, integrated, and resilient development region with the message "Spring Gathering - Steadfastly Moving Forward," affirming the spirit of solidarity and determination to break through in the new phase.
The Nguyen Hue Flower Street first opened in 2004, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People 's Committee, and organized by Saigontourist Group with the support of major businesses. Over 23 years, the Flower Street has consistently received a warm welcome from locals and tourists, becoming a popular spring outing destination for families.
Especially in its 23rd year, for the first time, Nguyen Hue Flower Street will showcase two distinct day-night experiences within the same space. When night falls, Nguyen Hue Flower Street undergoes a spectacular transformation, becoming a magical art space thanks to the synchronized application of lighting and interactive technology.

During her return to Vietnam for Tet (Lunar New Year), Miss Ly Thu Thao checked in at Nguyen Hue Flower Street.
Quang Hao (Hanoi) said that he and his colleagues took advantage of their last day in Ho Chi Minh City before returning home for Tet to take photos of the flower street, even though they couldn't go inside. This year, Ho Chi Minh City has many more beautiful spring flower gardens and check-in spots, but according to him, Nguyen Hue flower street remains a highlight that cannot be missed.
"Having worked and lived in Ho Chi Minh City for 8 years, I've always wanted to have a memorable moment by Nguyen Hue Flower Street," Mr. Hao shared.
Sharing his thoughts on the significance of this year's event, Mr. Truong Duc Hung – General Director of Saigontourist Group, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet Binh Ngo 2026 – said that the Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 is not only a unique artistic space, but also a vibrant symbol of Ho Chi Minh City's aspiration for progress and connectivity in the new era.
"After 23 years, for the first time, we are bringing two distinct experiential styles in the same space, combining advanced Mapping and AR technology to tell the story of a youthful, dynamic megacity. We hope that this year's Flower Street will become a place where emotions soar, where a thousand years of history blend with modern life, affirming Ho Chi Minh City's pioneering role on the national economic, cultural, and technological map," Mr. Hung emphasized.
Let's take a look at Nguyen Hue Flower Street before it opens.

The largest mascot on the flower street is "a leisurely horse," nearly 7 meters tall and made of environmentally friendly geometric woven bamboo.

The grand scene of the Nine-Maned Horse is inspired by the legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh.
