This afternoon (September 9), at Hue station, train SE4 running from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi just picked up 60 volunteers from Thua Thien - Hue to Quang Ninh and Hai Phong provinces to help overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 (super storm Yagi).
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, the Vietnam Railway Corporation received a request from Thua Thien Hue province to send a group of volunteer youth to Hai Phong to help people there overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi. After receiving the information, the railway industry immediately agreed and will arrange round-trip train tickets for 100 young people from Thua Thien Hue who are scheduled to depart on the afternoon of September 9.
Initially, it was expected that 100 young people would register, however, today the official list of participants is 60 young people. Train SE4 carrying 60 volunteers departed from Hue Station at 3:32 p.m. It is expected that they will arrive at Hanoi Station at 5:40 a.m. tomorrow morning, then the group will board train HP1 at 6 a.m. to Hai Phong .
These volunteers were supported by the railway with free round-trip train tickets from Hue to Hanoi; at the same time, the organization welcomed the group and provided thoughtful service to ensure the fastest post-storm relief and recovery work.
The Corporation also said that the railway will quickly resolve the issue of supporting travel tickets and transporting relief goods when organizations, units, and unions contact them to support people, businesses, agencies, and localities damaged and affected by storm No. 3 quickly and promptly.
It is known that this volunteer group was organized by the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Youth Union and the Hue Business Association in collaboration with the Quang Ninh and Hai Phong Provincial Youth Unions to call for and support. Participating in the volunteer work to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 this time are also 50 volunteers from Quang Binh province and 50 volunteers from Hanoi city.
