Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 section through Tay Ninh province will basically complete the expressway section in 2025.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Construction Investment Project was approved by the National Assembly in Resolution No. 57/2022/QH15 dated June 16, 2022 and implemented according to Resolution No. 105/NQ-CP dated August 15, 2022 of the Government, and is being actively constructed, especially the section passing through Tay Ninh province.

Ring Road 3 section through My Yen commune

The project has a total length of 76.34km, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai province, Tay Ninh province, divided into 8 component projects. Phase 1 will build 4 expressway lanes, combined with parallel roads on both sides (2-3 lanes). The total investment for the whole project is 75,378 billion VND.

In particular, Tay Ninh province has 2 component projects 7 and 8. Specifically, component project 7 (road construction) through Tay Ninh is 6.84km long, with a total investment of 3,040 billion VND; component project 8 (compensation, support, resettlement) is 1,168 billion VND.

Currently, the site clearance work of component project 8 has been 100% handed over to the construction unit, the resettlement area has also been completed and handed over to the people. The technical infrastructure relocation work at component project 7 has also been completely carried out, 11/11 medium and low voltage power positions have been relocated, the clearance of the 500kV high voltage power line has been raised, and the new construction has been completed.

According to information from the Construction Investment Project Management Board, the construction of 3 main route packages (XL1, XL2, XL3) of component project 7 has reached about 87% of the contract construction value.

In which, package XL1: Route Km85+200 to Km88+766 has completed weak soil treatment, pile drilling, retaining wall construction, roadbed sand filling, crushed stone pavement, part of C19 and C25 asphalt concrete, culverts and Rach Rich bridge have completed main structure; implementation value reached 85.75%.

Package XL2: Route Km88+766 to Km90+472 including Tan Buu bridge, parallel road and basic intersections completed, reaching 87.79% of contract value.

Package XL3: The final intersection from Km90+472 to Km91+568, branch lines, overpasses and ramps connecting the Ben Luc - Long Thanh project have been basically completed, reaching 86.72% of the contract value.

Packages such as XL3A, XL4A, XL5 are also being implemented as planned, with progress reaching from 5.74% to 43.95%, ensuring that the progress of the entire project will not be affected. The ITS system (packages XL6A, XL6B) is also ready for implementation, and is planned to be completed synchronously when the project is put into operation.

Up to now, the capital allocation has reached more than 2,089 billion VND, of which the central budget has allocated enough for the 2021-2025 medium-term plan, and local capital has disbursed more than 409 billion VND. Component project 7 alone has disbursed more than 1,611 billion VND, achieving the planned progress, of which 42.53% of the plan will be disbursed in 2025.

According to the Construction Investment Project Management Board, the weather was unfavorable, with many consecutive storms affecting the construction of the hot asphalt concrete layer on the road surface. However, the progress was on schedule, with the expressway section basically completed in 2025, and the entire project expected to be put into operation in 2026./.
