
This year, the whole district has 10 products from 9 entities registered to participate in the OCOP program. Of which, 6 products are newly registered including: Huy Hoang bamboo tube snails, Nam Khanh beef patties, sweet potato candy mixed with seeds, Yen Nhi green bean cake, Vinh Trinh dried lotus, Binh Minh high-tech chicken eggs; 4 products registered for re-evaluation and recognition including: Lo gac cu purple rice, Hao Nhan black chicken eggs, premium fish sauce and Ong Trinh shrimp paste.
The appraisal council analyzed, discussed, and commented on packaging, labels, processing procedures, raw materials, legal procedures for certifying food safety conditions, product traceability, etc.; at the same time, scored and ranked the products and gave suggestions to improve the products.
According to the assessment results, all 10 products met the required scores. The district council requested the subjects to continue completing the documents so that the council could serve as a basis for advising the district People's Committee to recognize 8 products that meet 3-star OCOP standards and submit to the provincial People's Committee for consideration, evaluation and recognition of 2 products that meet 4-star OCOP standards.
