Ea Ning implements many solutions to support poverty reduction

Implementing policies, programs and plans for poverty reduction, Ea Ning commune has closely coordinated with relevant agencies to effectively support people, especially poor and near-poor households and ethnic minorities. Vocational training and job creation are focused. Every year, the commune organizes vocational training for more than 326 people and creates jobs for over 540 workers. Notably, in the period of 2020 - 2025, the locality has sent 318 workers to work abroad, opening up a channel of high-income and sustainable jobs for many families.

Traffic infrastructure in Ea Ning commune is given attention for investment.

Along with the efforts of the government, local organizations and unions have also played a key role in poverty reduction. The Commune Veterans Association has built 11 good economic models with incomes ranging from 300 million VND to 1.5 billion VND/year; mobilized 185 million VND to support poor members and maintained an internal fund of over 1.5 billion VND for loans with low interest rates. The Commune Women's Union established 11 new models, supported start-ups worth over 2.23 billion VND and maintained 86 savings groups with a total amount of over 5.7 billion VND, creating conditions for 530 members to borrow capital for economic development. The Commune Farmers' Association currently has 1,435 households registered as good producers and maintains a mutual support fund of 1.84 billion VND, helping members expand production.

Along with poverty reduction, to maintain a stable economic growth rate, Ea Ning commune has oriented agricultural development towards increasing added value. Specifically, the locality focuses on stabilizing the area of perennial crops with high economic value such as coffee and pepper; encouraging intercropping of fruit trees to increase efficiency on the same area unit.

Along with that, the commune has focused on developing a variety of businesses and services. There are currently 36 businesses and 8 cooperatives in the commune, along with 727 individual business households. These establishments operate mainly in the fields of production, agricultural processing, services, small-scale industry and transportation, creating stable jobs for thousands of local workers.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Ning Commune Chu Thanh Tan said that in the coming time, the commune will continue to set the goal of sustainable poverty reduction associated with economic development. The locality focuses on restructuring agriculture towards modernization, increasing added value; prioritizing the development of key crops and expanding intercropping models, applying science and technology in production; promoting support for poor and near-poor households to access preferential loans. Ea Ning Commune also encourages the development of enterprises, cooperatives and community economic models; prioritizing investment in rural infrastructure, applying digital transformation in production and product consumption to support people to access new economic opportunities.
