After Typhoon Yagi hit in 2024, a series of schools in Yen Bai and Lao Cai were left with roofs blown off, muddy, and damaged or washed away. Kitchens were unable to operate, and many roads were cut off, making it dangerous for students to get to school. For children in mountainous areas, schools are both a learning space and a safe place to live, so this destruction directly affects their daily lives and their ability to continue learning.
As soon as it grasped the situation, EQuest quickly launched a large-scale CSR campaign to support disaster recovery. The spirit of sharing spread throughout the system: staff, teachers, parents and students joined hands to contribute more than 3 billion VND and nearly 10 tons of goods in a short time. All resources were urgently coordinated by EQuest to 26 schools in Yen Bai, helping to restore teaching and learning conditions. Thanks to cooperation with Vietnam Railways Corporation , all goods were transported free of charge, creating an effective and cost-saving logistics model in the context of difficult road transportation.
In Yen Bai, EQuest provided uniforms, backpacks, necessities and learning equipment, and installed five industrial rice cookers to improve boarding meals and ensure food safety for students in mountainous areas. EQuest volunteers worked with local teachers to clean classrooms, sanitize the campus and rearrange supplies, helping students return to school in safer, more complete conditions.

In Lao Cai, EQuest prioritizes ensuring a safe and spacious learning environment for children in disaster-hit areas. The Group has sponsored the construction of new classrooms and kitchens for Viet Tien Kindergarten (Bao Yen district), which were seriously degraded and no longer safe after the storm. The project was inaugurated on May 22, 2025, providing a warm and clean learning space for more than 50 preschool children. In the context of mountainous areas with frequent floods, having solid facilities and a kitchen that ensures nutrition helps protect children's safety and maintain school attendance rates.
This year, when heavy rains and floods caused deep inundation in Hue, EQuest also coordinated with St. Nicholas School to provide essential supplies to residents and students of Phu Xuan University. Many KUV and Phu Xuan University students affected by natural disasters were also granted scholarships and tuition support to continue their studies without interruption.
Not stopping at emergency relief, EQuest persistently implements long-term educational programs to help improve community capacity. A typical example is the iLink project in Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai), implemented since 2022. Every week, more than 3,600 students have access to English using innovative methods; hundreds of local teachers are trained in expertise and technology. After two years, students' learning outcomes have improved significantly, demonstrating the sustainability of the program.

EQuest's CSR activities form a circle of sustainable impact: from emergency relief, infrastructure reconstruction, to capacity building through education. Since June 2025, EQuest has officially announced its long-term CSR orientation with four pillars: developing a green school environment, supporting autistic children and students with special needs, granting scholarships to overcome difficulties, and raising community awareness about pet care and protection. The programs will be deployed at multiple locations, expanding social impact in a systematic, sustainable manner and consistent with the Group's ESG strategy.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Chief of Office of EQuest Education Group, shared: "For us, the value of our contribution to society does not lie in the scale of each support, but in helping disadvantaged communities, especially children, have the opportunity to continue learning and recover from natural disasters." According to Ms. Thuy, the award from AmCham Vietnam is a great source of encouragement, contributing to further motivation for EQuest. However, what EQuest appreciates most is the persistent journey that the group pursues to create positive and lasting changes for the community.
AmCham ESG Impact Showcase & Awards is an annual award of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, honoring businesses that perform well in Environmental - Social - Governance criteria. EQuest's continued honor for the fourth consecutive year demonstrates the Group's strong commitment to building positive and lasting changes for the community.
