National walking program "Moving forward with Vietnam"

Continuing the emotions from the concert “Fatherland in the Heart” with 1 billion steps into a new era. The music night “Fatherland in the Heart” and the national walking program “ Step forward with Vietnam ” are two special art and sports events to celebrate the historical milestones of the nation.

The national walking activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) takes place from July 25 to August 16, 2025.

"Moving Forward with Vietnam" is a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a special moment when the whole country is entering a new development phase along with the rearrangement of administrative units. For the first time, a walking activity was held simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.

People nationwide can register online on the official electronic portal: cungvietnamtienbuoc.nhandan.vn and start recording their steps to contribute to the journey with the message "1 billion steps towards a new era" - a practical activity demonstrating patriotism, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the country's Net Zero goal.

In particular, at 06:00 - 07:30 on August 16, 2025, program participants nationwide will wear red shirts with yellow stars, turn to the historic Ba Dinh Square to watch the national flag raising ceremony, sing the National Anthem in unison, and move forward together for a united, strong and sustainable Vietnam.

This is not only a sports event responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the movement "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", but also a journey of millions of hearts beating together - a place where all generations and all classes of people from central to local levels, from urban to rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas converge.
