Writing contest on traditional crafts and villages
The writing contest on traditional occupations and craft villages of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 has just been launched by the Department of Rural Development (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City), the time to receive articles and photos is from November 3 to November 30, 2025.
This activity aims to honor traditional occupations and craft villages that have been recognized by the City People's Committee, continue to search for and develop occupations, and advise on the recognition of traditional occupations and craft villages in the city after the merger. Widely promote the products of the city's traditional craft villages to a wide range of consumers. Affirm the role of traditional occupations and craft villages in socio-economic development and new rural construction. At the same time, encourage organizations and individuals to raise awareness and responsibility for preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the locality. According to the Organizing Committee, the entries include genres of reflections, reports, notes, memoirs, etc. with a capacity of 600 - 1,000 words, with at least 3 illustrative photos.
Each contestant can submit a maximum of 2 works, with the language expressed in Vietnamese. Contestants are Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age, occupation, living in the country or abroad. Contest entries must be new articles, never published in newspapers, radio; social networking platforms or submitted to any other contest. Authors must be responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the content of the article and guarantee that it is not copied or plagiarized.
High quality submitted works selected for publication in the online newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong will be paid royalties. Copyright of works published in this contest belongs to the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for copyright disputes (if any) between the contestant and a third party.
The prize structure includes: 1 first prize worth 5 million VND; 2 second prizes worth 3 million VND/prize; 3 third prizes worth 2 million VND/prize and 5 consolation prizes worth 1 million VND each. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded many other secondary prizes worth 500 thousand VND.
